Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy a guide from Japanese Home Rules. They are written to be read. If anything is unclear, write to support@japanesehomerules.shop.

Who sells

The guides are created by [Seller legal name], [Country]. Orders are processed by [payment platform], which is the seller of record: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT your country requires, and sends you the receipt.

What you get

Digital files in PDF format, delivered by email right after payment, usually within a few minutes. Nothing is shipped. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then write to us and we send the files again.

Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars. Your bank may convert them to your currency. Tax, where it applies, is shown at checkout before you pay.

How you may use the files

The guide is for you and your household. You may read it on any of your devices and print it as many times as you like for your own use. Please do not share the files, resell them or post them online. Give the link instead, and we will be grateful.

Refunds

You have thirty days to ask for a full refund, for any reason. The details are in our refund policy.

What the guide is, and what it is not

The guide is about keeping a home: sorting, buying less, caring for the things you keep. It is not medical, legal, financial or safety advice. Where it mentions a study, it says what the study found and where to read it. Always follow product labels and the advice of your doctor. Do the jobs only as far as is comfortable for you; ask for help with anything heavy or high.

Setsuko is a storyteller we created to share the everyday wisdom of Japanese homes; her stories are illustrative. The household practices and the cited facts are real and checked.

Our responsibility

We take care that the guide is accurate and the files work. If a file is broken, we replace it. As far as the law allows, our responsibility for any claim connected with a purchase is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

Changes

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page on the day you bought.
